ルートが作れないI can't create a route

「生成」を押してもルートができないときに、画面の表示ごとの原因と直し方を説明します。Why a route isn't created when you tap Generate, and what to do for each message the app shows.

ルートは「ルート・ラン」タブで「生成」を押すと作られます。うまくいかないときは、画面に出ている表示を確かめて、下の表から当てはまるものを探してください。

1. 1 日の回数の上限に達した

ルートを作れる回数は、1 日あたり無料プランで 3 回、Pro で 30 回です。残りの回数は「生成」ボタンの近くに表示されます。

上限に達すると、「本日のルート生成上限に達しました」と「UTC深夜0時にリセット」が表示され、「生成」ボタンは押せなくなります。生成したときに「本日の上限に達しました」と出ることもあります。

回数は UTC の午前 0 時に戻ります。日本時間では午前 9 時です。
それまでは、前に保存したルートで走れます。「保存済みルートを使う」を押してください。
ルートを作らずに走りたいときは、画面上部で「フリーラン」に切り替えます。
無料プランの場合は、Pro にすると 1 日 30 回まで作れます。

2. 位置情報を使えない

ルートは今いる場所を出発地点にして作ります。位置情報を使えないと作れません。

表示	すること
「位置情報が必要です」	この表示を押します。続けて出る iPhone の画面で、位置情報の利用を許可します。
「位置情報の許可」	内容を確認して「続ける」を押し、続けて出る iPhone の画面で許可します。
「位置情報を有効にする」	位置情報が許可されていません。「位置情報設定を開く」を押し、RouteRun の位置情報を許可します。
「おおよその位置情報が有効です」	ルートは作れますが、出発地点がずれることがあります。「設定」を押し、「正確な位置情報」をオンにします。

3. 目的地や折り返し地点が決まっていない

「ポイント・トゥ・ポイント」では、目的地を決めるまで「生成」の代わりに「先に目的地を設定」が表示され、押せません。「目的地を設定」の「地図から選択」を押して、地図で目的地を選びます。
「往復」では、折り返し地点が必要です。「折り返し地点を設定」の「地図から選択」を押して、地図で地点を選びます。

4. 通信がつながらない

通信が切れていると、地図の上に「オフライン」と表示されます。
生成中に通信が切れると、「ルート生成に失敗しました」と、通信状況を確認するよう案内が出ます。「再試行まで」の表示のあと、1 回だけ自動でやり直します。
自動のやり直しを止めたときや、もう一度試したいときは「再試行」を押します。
時間がかかりすぎたときは、「ルート生成に時間がかかりすぎました。」と表示されます。通信の良い場所に移ってから「再試行」を押してください。
通信がない間は、保存済みのルートを使えます。「保存済みルートを使う」が表示されたら押してください。

5. そのほかの表示

表示	意味	すること
「この地域ではルートを生成できませんでした」	今いる場所の周りで、指定した条件のルートが見つかりませんでした。	「設定を変更」を押し、距離やルートの種類を変えてから「生成」を押します。開けた道の近くに移るのも有効です。
「リクエストが多すぎます。」	短い時間に何度も生成しました。	少し待ってから「再試行」を押します。
「ルート生成が一時的に利用できません。」	ルートを作る仕組みが一時的に使えません。	数分待ってから、もう一度「生成」を押します。
「ルートサーバーが一時的に利用できません。」	同上です。	しばらく待ってから、もう一度「生成」を押します。
「ルート生成に失敗しました」	上のどれにも当てはまらない失敗です。	「再試行」を押します。続くときは、距離や場所を変えて試します。

うまくいかないとき

アプリを一度閉じて、開き直します。
iPhone の Wi‑Fi かモバイル通信がつながっているか確認します。
場所の精度が気になるときは、GPS の位置や距離がずれるをご覧ください。
回数やプランの違いは、無料プランと Pro の違いをご覧ください。

Routes are created when you tap Generate on the Route & Run tab. If it doesn't work, check the message on screen and find it below.

1. You reached the daily limit

You can create up to 3 routes a day on the free plan and 30 with Pro. The number left is shown near the Generate button.

When you reach the limit, Daily route generation limit reached and Resets at midnight UTC appear, and the Generate button can't be tapped. You may also see Today's Limit Reached when you generate.

The count resets at midnight UTC (9:00 a.m. in Japan).
Until then, you can run one of your saved routes. Tap Use Saved Route.
To run without a route, switch to Free Run at the top of the screen.
On the free plan, Pro lets you create up to 30 routes a day.

2. Location isn't available

A route starts from where you are now, so the app needs your location.

Message	What to do
Location Required	Tap it, then allow location access on the iPhone screen that follows.
Location Permission	Review it, tap Continue, then allow access on the iPhone screen that follows.
Enable Location	Location access isn't allowed. Tap Open Location Settings and allow location for RouteRun.
Approximate Location Active	Routes still work, but the start point may be off. Tap Settings and turn on Precise Location.

3. No destination or turnaround point

For Point to Point, the button shows Set Destination First instead of Generate until you pick a destination, and it can't be tapped. Under Set Destination, tap Select from Map and choose a destination.
For Out and Back, you need a turnaround point. Under Set Turnaround Point, tap Select from Map and choose a point.

4. No connection

When you're offline, Offline appears above the map.
If the connection drops while generating, Route generation failed appears with a note to check your connection. After Retrying in, the app tries again once on its own.
If you stopped the automatic retry, or want to try again, tap Try Again.
If it takes too long, you see Route generation took too long. Move somewhere with a better signal and tap Try Again.
While offline you can still use saved routes. Tap Use Saved Route if it appears.

5. Other messages

Message	What it means	What to do
Could not generate route for this area	No route matching your settings was found around you.	Tap Change Settings, change the distance or route type, then tap Generate. Moving closer to open streets can help.
Too many requests.	You generated many times in a short time.	Wait a moment, then tap Try Again.
Route generation is temporarily unavailable.	Route creation is temporarily down.	Wait a few minutes, then tap Generate again.
Route server is temporarily unavailable.	Same as above.	Wait a while, then tap Generate again.
Route generation failed	A failure that doesn't match the ones above.	Tap Try Again. If it keeps failing, try another distance or place.

If something doesn't work

Close the app and open it again.
Make sure your iPhone is on Wi‑Fi or mobile data.
If your location seems off, see GPS position or distance is off.
